The last time I bought yarn was…..forever ago.
The last time I joined a knit along was…..forever and a half ago.
The last time I joined a SHAWL knit along was……never, because I’m not a fan of shawls and wear them all as scarves anyway.
The last time I joined a knit along which was a “mystery” was…..again never, because why on earth put alot of knitting time into a project without knowing what the final end-product looks like?
Despite all of these very compelling reasons not to join the Through the Loops Mystery Shawl KAL 2014, I went and done did it.
I probably did it because Margene and Carole are doing it and a little peer pressure to finish a project would be good right about now.
And because if I knew what the final shawl looked like I’d probably find a reason not to do it.
And because I kind of like the mystery aspect, getting a new pattern clue every weekend in the month of June.
And because the suggested yarn is a gradient, and I’ve never knit with a gradient before.
Pretty, isn’t it? The deal is, you start with either the lightest (or darkest color), knit until it runs out, then pick the next color in the line and repeat until you get to the very darkest (or lightest) color.
All of this leaves me wondering, am I a knitter again?
